Tell us about your health and fitness certifications and degrees.

I am a Master Trainer on the Pure Barre Corporate Training Team, as well as certified in all three Pure Barre class formats.

How long have you been teaching?

I have been teaching for eight years!

Why did you start teaching fitness?

I started teaching fitness because I saw amazing results personally, was passionate about the brand, and loved both the community and the teachers.

What is your favorite workout to do on your own time and why?

My favorite workout to do on my own time is Pure Barre! It changed my life, it’s never boring, and you can never plateau.

What is your favorite piece of workout equipment?

My favorite piece of workout equipment is Bala bangles.

What is your favorite exercise to do at the gym?

Unpopular opinion, but my favorite exercise to do at the gym is a plank! I also love tricep push-ups, squats, and v-ups.

What are 5 essential items you keep in your gym bag?

My five essential items in my gym bag are IGK First Class dry shampoo, Dove spray deodorant, grippy socks, approximately 700 hair ties, and the aforementioned Bala bangles!

What are your favorite pieces of workout clothing?

When walking or running, On Sneakers. The Cloudswift style is more comfortable than my feet on their own! In the Pure Barre studio, Lululemon Align leggings and tank tops, and Beyond Yoga Space Dye leggings and tops.

What is your favorite healthy snack?

Raw almonds, or carrots and hummus!

What is your favorite place to go on a run or walk?

My favorite place to go on a run or walk is White Rock Lake in Dallas, TX.

What are a few of your favorite artists to work out to?

My favorite artists to work out to are Lizzo, Jay-Z, Beyonce, or any 2000’s hip-hop honestly!

Who is your biggest inspiration?

My biggest inspiration is my mom. She was a personal trainer when I was growing up, and a writer on the side, which she turned into a New York Times’ Bestselling career. She’s always told me to do what I love and everything else will fall into place.

What are your top 3 tips to stay motivated with fitness?

  1. Find something that feels fun, a great community will help with this!
  2. Stay consistent in order to create a habit.
  3. Allow yourself grace - not every workout will be your best, some days you may need to make less intense, and some days you may shock yourself with your own strength. Take it one day at a time!
