Mariela Arteaga
Mariela gives us a little bit of everything good. She’s proud of her ethnicity, blending all the best of Cuba, Venezuela, Dominica, and Trinidad. Professionally, she’s both a licensed social worker and an AKT instructor. She can keep up with the ballerinas or get down to some Michael Jackson. If variety is the spice of life, Mariela has all the flavor. It’s no wonder she’s all about sweet, then savory—and not just when eating her favorite foods. In the studio, expect sweet recovery periods followed by hearty intervals that will have you feeling like a snack. Her home studio is AKT West Hollywood in California.
